Sharon Geller has been a professional actor, writer, director and entertainer for over 20 years.
A Philadelphia native, Sharon graduated with a degree in Radio, TV and Film from Temple University and spent her first 10 employable years in the corporate
world working in medical public relations. During this time, she studied jazz drums with the famous Butch Ballard of Count Basie and Duke Ellington fame,
and dabbled locally in the acting arena. After a stint with Comic Relief, a local comedy improvisational troupe who performed in the NY-PA-NJ area and
frequent appearances on a weekly cable comedy show, Sharon soon realized she needed to perform full time and left the corporate world to pursue her
Sharon has appeared on Saturday Night Live several times in the Weekend Update and Opening Sketch segments. Dressed as Lucy, she sang the “I Love Lucy”
theme song on the TODAY Show with Al Roker by her side. She has done numerous radio and TV commercials, voice-overs, industrials and stage work in
addition to appearing in M. Night Shyamalan’s “Sixth Sense” and “Wide Awake.”
For over 5 years, Sharon traveled around throughout country doing live shows for pharmaceutical companies including Roche, Aventis, Astra Merck, Rhone Poulenc
Rorer, Boehringer Mannheim, and Sherring Plough. In 2004, she won the Monologue Slam at the Fringe Festival and her principal work on a TV spot for
Rohrer's Heating and Air Conditioning won the commercial a National Telly Award. Sharon’s mock-u-mentary, “The Making of ‘Bush: The Musical,’” in which
she also performed, won the 48-hour film festival audience best award.
While adept at handling dramatic roles, her heart belongs to comedy and she has studied with Gary Austin, Wenndy MacKenzie, Jeffrey Sweet,
Carol Fox Prescott and Michael Gellman. For the past 15 years, she has taught comedy improvisation at the Walnut Street Theatre and
sociodrama/improvisation at Temple University’s Full Circle Intergenerational Theatre, where she has also served as Artistic Director.
When not teaching or doing commercials, Sharon can often be seen on QVC as a guest host.
